If you own a company then you will need to hire an industrial bin to get rid of the daily rubbish that is accumulated. Providing you don’t want to get rid of hazardous industrial waste then an ordinary bin should do the job perfectly well. An industrial bin is just a large disposal unit that is designed for companies and housing projects that generate a lot of waste.

Sometimes you will find that an industrial bin also refers to a skip, which is something that anyone can hire to get rid of excess rubbish or debris from a house renovation project. More usually however, and industrial bin is one that is used for industrial purposes or hired by local councils as a communal rubbish collection point of a block of flats. As a general rule skips are usually hired for one off jobs whereas an industrial bin is often hired on an ongoing contractual basis to a council or a company.

Hiring a Skip

People who are moving house and need to get rid of unwanted furniture or debris should think about hiring a skip. Providing the rubbish doesn’t include hazardous waste like fluorescent tubes or old televisions then a mini skip may be big enough for what you want. If however you need to renovate your home before selling it on then you will need to think about hiring a skip that will hold a lot of debris.

When you are hiring a skip you should have some idea of the amount of time that you will need the skip as this will have cost implications. A good way of getting an idea of the cost of hiring a skip is to ask the skip hire company to give you an estimate. If you can find a company close to your home then this will make hiring a skip a bit cheaper. You should also check that the company you choose is registered to hire skips and dispose of rubbish, most companies do have this registration but it doesn’t hurt to ask. Hiring a skip shouldn’t be too much of a problem if you follow these guidelines.

Cheap Skip

When you need to hire a skip but cannot afford to pay a lot of money then you might want to consider looking around for a cheap skip. Prices for skip hire can vary quite a bit, a lot depends on what you want the skip for, the size of the skip, the length of time that you want it, and your location. If you live miles from any skip hiring company then a cheap skip may very well be out of the question.

Not matter what sort of rubbish you want to get rid of you should still enquire whether the company that you are hiring the cheap skip from are registered with the local council. Where the skip is placed will have an effect on how much you have to pay for hiring it. If it is on the public highway then generally speaking this will involve an extra cost, but if there is room on your own driveway then this will cost less. Just as with any other skip, you need to be clear about how much rubbish you need to get rid of when you are looking around for a cheap skip - the larger the skip that you need then the more it will cost to hire.

Industrial waste bins are usually those large green bins with more than one lid that you see outside factories and warehouses. You may also find industrial waste bins outside blocks of flats and outside hospitals.

Industrial waste bins usually have lids, unlike the normal skip which is open topped, this is because the industrial bins are often used for poisonous waste. Industrial waste has to be disposed of safely, in a particular area, and there are a lot of rules covering the disposal of industrial waste.

Most companies that generate a lot of waste, for example a plastics firm, will usually hire industrial waste bins so that they know the waste will be disposed of in a safe and ethical way. Companies who simply dump their waste, rather than using industrial waste bins are liable to be prosecuted as industrial waste that is not properly disposed of can affect the health and well being of people living in that area.

If you are planning on clearing your garden, or getting rid of household rubbish that does not fit the criteria of your usual methods of waste disposal then why not hire a cheap skip? Providing you don’t plan to get rid of a fridge, television or other form of hazardous domestic waste then a cheap skip might be just what you need.

You can find cheap skip hire offered by a good number of companies if you do some internet research - just make sure that the company you hire from is a registered company with proper skips. You don’t want to opt for hiring a cheap skip if it is not up to the job, or if the company is not a legitimate skip hiring firm.

When you only have a smallish amount of rubbish to get rid of then you don’t want to spend a lot of money. Most skips are hired by the day and if you only want a skip for half a day it may be possible to cut the price of your skip hire.

Industrial bins are generally used to dispose of company waste and can often be seen in the grounds of a particular factory or other company. Not all industrial bins are designed for industrial waste, many of them are just large skips that companies use for the day to day disposal of office waste and cardboard boxes.

Industrial bins may be used on school and university premises as they hold much more waste than the usual household skip - industrial bins are also used by councils to act as a central rubbish disposal point in blocks of flats. You may find that if you do a search for skip hire that you will come up with listings for industrial bins as well. This is because industrial bins and skips are often used interchangeably as they are meant to deal with more than just everyday, individual household rubbish.

Sometimes you may have a job that generates more rubbish than you can handle but not enough to warrant a full size skip - if this is the case then you should opt for mini skip hire.

Mini skips are the smallest type of skips that you can hire and they are generally used for excess household waste or garden waste. If you are clearing your garden and need to get rid of a lot of weeds or unwanted plants then mini skip hire is an ideal way of disposing of the waste.

There are certain types of waste that you cannot put into a mini skip including fluorescent tubes, gas bottles, televisions and anything else that might be regarded as hazardous waste. However, if you just want to get rid of small non-hazardous items then mini skip hire is probably the best way of doing it.

Skip hiring may seem like a simple process but most people are not really sure of the best way to go about hiring a skip. Decisions such as the size of a skip and the type of waste that a company is licensed to dispose of all have to be taken into consideration before you hire a skip.

Some local councils may require you to get a licence if you are having a skip on the public highway - others may require the company itself to apply for a site licence. If you have room for a skip on your driveway or elsewhere on your property then you will not need a licence. When you are in the process of skip hiring you need to let the company know what sort of rubbish you need to get rid of as this will affect the size of the skip that you hire.

Skip Sizes

It stands to reason that you will need different skip sizes for off loading unwanted possessions and property renovation - having said that; it is not always easy to estimate the size of the skip that you will need. Most professional skip companies recommend that you hire a skip that is slightly larger than the one you think you need. This may sound like an unnecessary expense but there are a couple of things to consider here:

*	It is illegal to overload a skip *	You will be charged for any excess waste if the skip you hire is too small

You should enquire what type of waste the skip is designed to carry before you hire one. Some skip companies are not licensed to carry hazardous waste such as old refrigerators or television sets. If you are not sure about the skip sizes for different jobs then you can always ask the company to give you an estimate of the size they think you will need.
