Skip hiring may seem like a simple process but most people are not really sure of the best way to go about hiring a skip. Decisions such as the size of a skip and the type of waste that a company is licensed to dispose of all have to be taken into consideration before you hire a skip.
Some local councils may require you to get a licence if you are having a skip on the public highway - others may require the company itself to apply for a site licence. If you have room for a skip on your driveway or elsewhere on your property then you will not need a licence. When you are in the process of skip hiring you need to let the company know what sort of rubbish you need to get rid of as this will affect the size of the skip that you hire.
